Bump stops provide a bottoming cushion on rough roads, limiting hydraulic damper travel to prevent suspension bottoming and damage. They also improve ride quality, softening harsh impacts. Replace them when installing new struts.

This ventilation connecting pipe guides the gases in the PCV system back into the valve cover. Plastic pipes exposed to constantly varying temperatures tend to become weak and crack over time. If yours has split, it may allow gases to escape possibly resulting in poor fuel economy, engine misfires, hissing noises under the hood, and will usually cause the check engine light to illuminate.
