BMW Suspension Bushings & Mounts

Suspension mounts are designed to absorb the energy of the shocks and springs and isolate road harshness from the chassis. But over time the original rubber mounts will crumble and fail. We have stock mounts and bushings as well as a wide selection of upgraded and heavier-duty for performance street cars. We also offer a full selection of race only bushings and mounts. Simply choose your car below. Included here you will find rear shock tower mounts, front strut mounts, subframe mounts, lower control arm bushings, rear trailing arm bushings, and more.

Worn rubber differential mounts will lead to the differential twisting and shifting around in the rear subframe. Not only will this be noisy but it's bad for driver confidence and bad for the chassis as well. Even on fresh rubber bushings the differential has deflection and twist, especially if the car has been modified for more torque. Since the differential is centrally mounted in the rear subframe, with all suspension mounts interconnected, a differential with too much deflection will affect handling and could even damage the rear subframe.

These 88A urethane E46 diff mounts are much stiffer than stock but still not as solid as our Turner aluminum/Delrin bushings. This set will resist twisting much better than the stock rubber mounts. Included are the two front diff mounts and the rear mount in the cover.

Upgrade your drivetrain performance with ECS Tuning Performance Polyurethane Differential Bushings—engineered specifically for BMW F8x/G8x models and designed to deliver superior power transfer, durability, and driving precision.

Factory rubber differential bushings are built for comfort, absorbing vibrations between the differential and chassis during everyday driving. However, they are a known wear item that degrade over time—especially under spirited or aggressive driving conditions. Many F8x/G8x owners experience premature cracking and wear, leading to excessive drivetrain movement, reduced throttle response, and unwanted wheel hop.

ECS Tuning’s in-house engineered polyurethane differential bushings provide a high-performance solution to these common issues. By significantly reducing drivetrain deflection, these upgraded bushings enhance throttle response, improve handling stability, and minimize wheel hop—resulting in a more connected and controlled driving experience.

Constructed from durable 95A durometer red polyurethane and paired with precision CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum sleeves, these bushings are built to withstand extreme driveline forces while maintaining street-friendly comfort. Unlike solid or delrin mounts, ECS polyurethane bushings strike the perfect balance between performance and daily drivability—delivering increased rigidity without excessive noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH).

Whether you're carving canyon roads, launching at the drag strip, or simply commuting, these performance differential bushings ensure more efficient power delivery from the differential to the wheels—giving you better throttle modulation, traction, and overall control.

New mounts should be installed whenever you are replacing the struts and shocks on your E90 and E92 3-series. The mounts keep the cabin isolated from annoying noises and impacts. Just like any other rubber mount, these will go bad over time, which allows more harshness and vibration to the chassis along with clunking noises. Replace them now to avoid doubling the labor charges down the road. When installing new shocks, that is the perfect time to also replace the mounts. There is no additional time to install them, no special tools required, and doesn't take any extra time!

This mount package is for 2006-2012 E90, E91, E92, and E93 3-series with the factory Sport, M Sport, or BMW Performance suspensions .

Included in the E9X Sport Mount Kit:
  • front upper strut mounts (also known as a guide support), 31306775098
  • A. rear upper-top shock mounts, 33506771737
  • B. rear upper-middle shock mounts, 33506767010
  • C. rear upper-bottom shock mounts, 33506771738
  • D. rear upper supporting cup, 33526764418 (sits over bumpstop)
  • rear lower shock mount (installs on spring arm), 33526768544

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Rear trailing arm bushings serve the key purpose of keeping rear suspension triangulated and the vehicle moving where it's directed to. Though failure prone, even factory-fresh OEM rubber bushings allow for deflection, causing suspension geometry changes on hard launches, over bumps in the road, and during cornering. This deflection results in clunking in the rear end, a “rear steer” feeling, and uneven tire wear.

Powerflex polyurethane rear trailing arm bushings are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in a reduction of deflection that causes these suspension angle changes, improving handling over bumps and with a proper alignment, extending tire wear.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

BMW’s are known to have failure prone rear control arm bushings. The flexible rubber bushings, even those found in M performance models, allow significant movement of the front wheels to maximize daily driving comfort, but also allow considerable alignment change. This results in a disconnected and numb road feel, standing between you and a confidence inspiring driving experience. Eventually the fluid filled rubber bushings fatigue and crack due to continual deflection and ozone degradation, and eventually the damping fluid leaks out resulting in complete failure.

A BMWs sub-frame is the heart of the suspension - as the subframe twists and shifts under load all of the suspension mounting points also move. The rear suspension feels loose and lacks precision. As rubber or hydroelastic bushings wear the bushing deflection gets worse. If you have a highly tuned 335i/xi you're putting even more strain on weak bushings. The solution is a stiffer and more durable material. Even BMW has moved to solid mounts on the F10 M5 and F8X M3/M4. These fully solid E82/E90/E92 aluminum mounts have zero deflection - the subframe does not move at all. The rest of the suspension can work as designed and maintain the proper alignment and motion ratios. The driver will notice the difference as the car is more stable and the handling is more precise.

Although we designed these for use in our racecars, they can work on the street so long as the driver can tolerate some additional noise, vibration, and harshness. These mounts are CNC machined in the USA and made with high-grade aluminum. The set is for all four subframe mounts.

These solid rear sub frame mounts fit:
    2008-2012 E82 BMW 128i 135i

Our experience with spherical front control arm ball joints go back to those we designed and used in our IMSA E90 328i and E92 M3 racecars (GS class Champions in 2011).  We wanted to offer e30, e36, and e46 owners similar levels of handling precision and control for the track and street, but weren’t satisfied with the other options out there.  Instead of a Delrin® bushing or unsealed spherical bearing alone, we selected an oversized sealed greaseable spherical monoball to offer unparalleled durability and precision, but designed a Delrin® adapter sleeve to help isolate the added noise, vibration, and harshness that a full solid monoball bearing will have. While race-ready, our hybrid Delrin®/monoball control arm bearings are more at home on the street than other kits that are advertised as “race-only” bearings. We did extensive street, autocross, and track testing to ensure the spherical bearing used in this bushing design excelled in each setting.

The stock rubber bushings, even those found in the M3, allow significant fore/aft movement of the front wheels to help absorb road impacts, especially when being pushed hard.  This soft flexible design maximizes daily driving comfort, but also allows considerable alignment change.  This unwanted deflection stands between you and a crisp, confidence-inspiring driving experience.  The advantage of a monoball bearing is that it will not deflect under load, eliminating all unwanted deflection while still allowing complete freedom of movement in the desired angles. What you get is superior steering precision with better handling from more consistent alignment and direct braking feedback, with exceptional service life.  Thanks to the Delrin® insert and double lip seals, there's none of the extra noise or reduced service life often found on other spherical bearings.

In short, if you're seeking front control arm bushings that offer precise, predictable handling, crisper braking feel, with a long service life free from noise - look no further. We have you covered.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This in turn reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. Replacing your struts and shocks? Don't forget the bushings! The rubber mounts for the shocks will go bad over time, especially if you drive hard or the roads are particularly rough. The shock mounts locate the front struts and rear shocks to the car - providing a quiet and vibration-free buffer between the road and the cabin. Shock mounts and bushings can wear out just like any other rubber part on the car. This leads to more noise and harshness reaching the chassis and may complicate your new suspension install. When installing new shocks, that is the perfect time to also replace the mounts. There is no additional time to install them, no special tools required, and doesn't take any extra time! If you re-use the original mounts you have the risk of them failing before your next shock replacement, doubling your labor costs.

Included in the E82 1-series Mount Kit:
  • front upper strut mounts (also known as a guide support), 31306775098
  • A. rear upper-top shock mounts, 33506771737
  • B. rear upper-middle shock mounts, 33506767010

  • D. rear upper supporting cup, 33526764418 (sits over bumpstop)

The E36/E46 rear trailing arm bushings (RTABs) wear out faster than any other bushing on the car. Worn RTAB will cause excessive toe alignment change and give a 'loose' or 'floaty' feeling in the rear handling. One of the reasons for this is that they over-extend during motion, stretching and twisting the rubber in all directions. These shims sit on either side of the bushing and limit the amount of extension from the bushing. Not only will you get more life from your RTAB but these will help stiffen the bushing during cornering. But during normal driving you will still have all of the comfort of the stock rubber bushings. These part about these bushings is how easy they are to install - simply slide them in place during your bushing install. They can be added to pre-installed bushings too by dropping the trailing arm and removing the cage around the bushing.

Works with stock rubber bushings only (not urethane or Delrin).

Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

No matter whether your E9x or E8x is N52, N54, or N55 powered, your rear upper shock mounts (33506771738) will fail. We set out to design the ultimate performance spherical monoball rear upper shock mount, and we believe we have exactly that. Our monoball rear upper shock mounts eliminate any unwanted deflection, maximizing shock efficiency and performance - this means full body shock body articulation, reducing side loading and improving shock wear. Our Turner Motorsport rear upper shock mounts also offer flexibility in shock position - our kit enables you to either raise your shock position by 7.5mm or lower it by 4.5mm. We recommend running the raised 7.5mm for increased shock travel on lowered vehicles. On the other hand, if you're looking to retain bump stops, washers, and shock boots, you can run the 4.5mm lowered shock position. NOTE: You may experience a slight increase in NVH when using our monoball rear upper shock mounts, but we think it is justified by the eliminated deflection and setup flexibility offered by this kit. Design features: Billet CNC 6061-T6 aluminum, type III anodized for exceptional durability and corrosion resistance Teflon lined spherical bearing Self-lubricating PTFE liners are chemically bonded to the inner diameter of the race to offer a very high load-carrying capacity with greatly increased dynamic wear characteristics. Bearing inserts are CNC machined 1144 steel, heat treated and melonite coated Maximize ball articulation while offering exceptional durability and corrosion resistance Static Axial Load Rating: 10,800 lbs. One often overlooked piece is the upper strut bearing and mount. This is the top mount for your struts and provides a solid platform for your front suspension. If worn, the bearings within this mount make noise, there is slop from worn rubber, and it can shorten the life of your shocks. To get the most out of your new suspension setup, it's recommended that you replace all parts that are known to fail. Not only will this make your new setup more effective, it will provide a better ride, proper tire position, and make all of your parts last longer. -Priced each, but should always be replaced in pairs.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Urethane mounts keep the differential from twisting under load. As torque is put through the driveline it causes anything to twist and move. The differential is mounted to the subframe and the twisting and deflection can be transferred to the rest of the chassis. With a stiffer mount the differential will not deflect as much. This improves seat-of-the-pants feeling to the driver, giving more feedback for smoother power delivery. In theory, there's also more torque being sent to the drive wheels since it's not being used up shifting the diff weight around.

These are tough 88A durometer urethane bushings with a anodized almunum center sleeve, engineered by ECS. This is a set of E36 diff bushings - 1 for the front and 2 for the rear cover. New high-grade hardware is included (the front bolt has a tendency to snap from all that torque twisting!).

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

The Powerflex Front Sway Bar Bushings - 28.2mm (Black Series) for the BMW F10/F11 5 Series are a specialized upgrade designed for drivers who seek high-performance handling and stability, especially in demanding driving conditions like track days or spirited road use.

    Key Highlights:

    1. Black Series - Track-Ready Performance: The Black Series bushings are engineered for maximum rigidity, offering far less flex than the original rubber bushings. This increased stiffness allows the sway bar to function more effectively, improving the car’s resistance to body roll and delivering a sharper, more responsive steering feel. These bushings are built for those pushing their cars to the limit on the track.

    2. Precise Handling Improvement: By upgrading the front sway bar bushings to these Black Series units, you will notice a marked improvement in handling precision. The front end becomes more composed during hard cornering, providing better feedback and quicker responses to driver inputs, crucial for high-performance driving scenarios.

    3. Superior Polyurethane Construction: Unlike factory rubber bushings that tend to degrade with time and exposure to the elements, Powerflex's polyurethane is designed to last. It resists cracking, shrinking, and softening from heat, oil, and road debris, ensuring consistent performance throughout its life. This means less maintenance and fewer replacements over time.

    4. Optimized Suspension Dynamics: These bushings ensure the sway bar stays firmly in place, allowing it to do its job of reducing body roll during sharp turns or fast driving. As a result, the car feels more stable and balanced, providing more confidence when pushing it on twisty roads or track circuits.

    5. Durability and Longevity: Built with motorsport use in mind, the Black Series bushings provide extended durability compared to stock rubber components. They maintain their form and stiffness even under high loads, making them a long-term solution for drivers who need reliability and performance in extreme conditions.

    6. Direct OEM Fit: These bushings are designed to be a direct replacement for the factory units on the 28.2mm front sway bar of the BMW F10/F11 5 Series. Installation is straightforward, making this an easy yet effective upgrade to enhance suspension performance.

    Applications:

    • BMW F10 5 Series (2010-2016)
    • BMW F11 5 Series Touring (2010-2017)

If you're looking to elevate the handling of your BMW F10/F11 to track-ready levels, these Powerflex Black Series Front Sway Bar Bushings offer a significant performance boost. By enhancing the stability and responsiveness of your suspension, they make your BMW feel sharper and more controlled, transforming it into a more capable machine in high-demand driving environments.
