APEX light alloy wheels are the next evolution in flow-forged wheel technology for BMWs. Flow-forming is a semi-forging process that produces a wheel typically stronger than a traditional cast wheel yet is still light weight. The wheels are around 10lbs lighter per wheel than a comparable factory wheel! That's reduced unsprung weight that improves all aspects of performance. The spokes and barrel have been designed to allow generous clearance for big brakes. In other words, these wheels are very impressively engineered and look great too! The design is based on classic motorsport themes that blend with BMW styling and appearance. These wheels look right at home on many BMW models. Multiple color and profile options allow you to set just the right look and stance for your car. As well as being pleasing to the eye these are very strong and functional wheels that are at home on the street as well as the racetrack. All APEX wheels are the BMW standard 5/120 bolt pattern and with a 72.6mm center bore. They are a direct fit many BMW models and may fit other models with a specific wheel spacer. The original BMW center cap, TPMS sensors, and original lug bolts are all carried over from your original wheels (wheel bolts may vary if spacers are used). They come in a wide variety of diameter, width, and offset combinations which gives you multiple fitment and application opportunities. For street use we generally recommend a staggered setup with a rear wheel slightly wider than the front. For track and racing applications a square setup is desired with the same width in the front and rear. Wheel offsets may also vary based on the clearances and stance you wish to achieve. Note: careful consideration of wheel width, offset and tire sizing must be observed when choosing and installing larger wheels. APEX EC-7 18" Staggered Wheel Set -- 18x8.5" / 18x9.5"
This set of 8.5" and 9.5" ARC-8 wheels is an easy staggered fitment for the E46 M3 and Z4M models. These are a direct fit with no spacers or fender rolling required. We use an 8.5" ET35 on the front and a 9.5" ET22 on the rear. These are only slightly wider than the stock sizes. The rear wheels have a deeper curve to the spokes than the front wheels, emphasizing the RWD chassis and adding some muscularity to the stance.

The process begins with the best carbon raw material manufactured in either USA or France; in fact it is the same stock that can be found on high performance racecars, battleships and satellites. Supporting race teams is one of Seibons' specialties and you will see their work in many different platforms and racing types. Drivers such as Michele Abbate in her Scion FRS racecar, Fredric Aasbo in his Formula D Scion tC and even team RS-R in Asian Formula D all rely solely on Seibon to get them to the podium.
Using single piece construction, the carbon is laid inside of a mold instead of being wrapped around it. This allows for a much stronger piece in the end and allows much greater control when the resin is applied. Areas such as door hinges, hood latches and window regulator mounting points are reinforced so as to add strength and longevity through repeated use. Application of the resin is then accomplished using proprietary techniques that allow for a much more uniform coating than most competitors and yields a product that is lighter, since there is no excess.
Finally the product is finished with a glossy clear coat this resists chipping and cracking and gives a glossy wet look. Inspection of the finished product is then performed to ensure there is no weave distortion in tight corners or complex bends.
