This is recommended for anyone using a low-pressure fuel pump that is larger than the OEM fuel pump. We designed this kit with the help of Island Racewerks. The cooler housing is designed to fit over the EKP module just like the OEM housing and fits with plenty of room in the stock EKP location. The housing is 3D printed using durable PLA+. The full kit is printed and assembled in the U.S.A. by Arc Terminator LLC. Full Kit Contents: 1x EKPM3 Cooler Housing With 5015 Fan 1x 14x14x6mm Heatsink With Thermal Tape 1x 14x9x5mm Heatsink With Thermal Tape 1x 9x9x5mm Heatsink With Thermal Tape (EKPM3 Kit) 4x 4" Zip Ties 1x Alcohol Wipe 1x 2 Amp Mini Blade Fuse Why this kit exists: The EKPM3 and EKPM2 have been shown to overheat and cause vehicle shutdown issues when larger fuel pumps that draw more current than OEM are used. This shutdown comes from critical components on the EKPM3 and EKPM2 overheating when larger current draws are coming from the fuel pump. The PNP kit comes with heatsinks for the most heat-sensitive and heat-producing components in the EKPM3 / EKPM2 to further increase cooling effectiveness. When paired with a potent 5015 blower fan that directs a large amount of airflow through the cooler housing, the EKPM3 / EKPM2 stays significantly cooler, which prolongs the life of the module. We also recommend anyone using a larger fuel pump than OEM to properly code their EKP module with Pro-Tool's built-in "Voltage Fix" feature.

What is the FX-200? The FX-200 is an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump for the F series N55 motor. The pump features a bigger bore size than stock which translates into roughly 80% more flow when compared to stock. The pump is completely E85 compatible and fully plug-and-play with no cutting or splicing of any kind required. The added flow will let you run much higher ethanol concentrations and also allow fueling for bigger turbos. Why do you need it? The stock HPFP on the F series and late E series N55 motor is severely limited in capacity when trying to tune and raise the output of the motor. The FX-200 adds roughly 80% more flow to the equation, raising the fueling limits on the platform and helping you run bigger turbos and/or higher ethanol concentration blends. Are tune changes required? The upgraded pump does require calibration changes. It is important to apply these changes prior to starting the car with pump installed to avoid any possible damage and void of warranty. Spool Performance can provide calibration details to your existing tuner and/or help you connect with established tuners who are experienced with these pumps. Custom tuning is required to get maximum output out of the upgraded pump setup for your specific vehicle setup and ambient conditions. Spool Performance is a hardware manufacturer and does not provide custom tunes, but can assist with questions your tuner may have.

This is a complete Low Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) upgrade that replaces your weak stock LPFP assembly with a high-flow E85-certified one. Standard Kit Includes: A brand new OEM LPFP bucket that is upgraded with a new Walbro 450 or 525 pump and filter. A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump (F90000274) that flows 50% more fuel than stock Optional A new E85 compatible Walbro 525 pump (F90000285) that flows 65% more fuel than stock NOTE: Owners with I-Drive may get a Fuel pump warning on the screen that says "Continued driving is possible. Have the system checked by your BMW center as soon as possible." As long as the car is running fine and does not exhibit any other symptoms, there is not an issue with the pump and this can be ignored. If you have any questions about this please feel free to contact us. Upgraded pumps pull more current, so if your EKP (LPFP control module) is weak, it may overheat causing it to shut down and need to be replaced.
