BMWs are well-known for their problematic cooling systems, which are often a catalyst for irreversible engine damage and a hefty repair bill. To guarantee exact fitment, the upgraded tank was designed using advanced 3D CAD modeling. All bungs, nipples, and fittings are precision-machined to ensure a secure seal with factory hose ends. The N54/N55 are the powerhouses of BMW, one of the most common tuning platforms, and a fan favorite for spirited driving. Being an N54/N55 owner you know that oil temps can get out of hand leaving you with an anxious feeling and the needle a little too close to the red on your gauge cluster. What if you could get the oil flowing faster, maintain lower temperatures, and still have proper engine warm-up?

Upgrade your N54/N55 engine with our Billet oil cooler housing, replacing the underperforming factory-cast aluminum unit. Engineered for enhanced performance and a blended aesthetic, our Turner oil cooler housing features an OEM+ black anodized finish and our own engineered lower-temperature thermostat. Unlike makeshift solutions like thermostat bypass kits, our housing integrates an OE thermostat, ensuring a gradual yet expedited engine warm-up process, similar to factory settings but faster.

Out goes the factory 110-degree Celsius (230F) thermostat, replaced by our 70-degree Celsius (158F) counterpart. This new thermostat triggers oil flow a significant 72 degrees Fahrenheit earlier than the factory version. This early flow translates into prolonged lower oil temperatures for both the oil cooler and engine, maintaining a happier, healthier engine with consistently lower operating temperatures.

For N54 owners seeking to use the full potential of their tuned or modified engines, our upgraded housing and thermostat are must-have additions, especially for those who frequent the track or enjoy spirited drives on winding roads. Our Clutch Slave Cylinder Bleeder Tool was designed, engineered, tested, and quality inspected by our Research and Development team at Turner. A BMWs sub-frame is the heart of the suspension - as the subframe twists and shifts under load all of the suspension mounting points also move. The rear suspension feels loose and lacks precision. As rubber or hydroelastic bushings wear the bushing deflection gets worse. If you have a highly tuned 335i/xi you're putting even more strain on weak bushings. The solution is a stiffer and more durable material. Even BMW has moved to solid mounts on the F10 M5 and F8X M3/M4. These fully solid E82/E90/E92 aluminum mounts have zero deflection - the subframe does not move at all. The rest of the suspension can work as designed and maintain the proper alignment and motion ratios. The driver will notice the difference as the car is more stable and the handling is more precise.

Although we designed these for use in our racecars, they can work on the street so long as the driver can tolerate some additional noise, vibration, and harshness. These mounts are CNC machined in the USA and made with high-grade aluminum. The set is for all four subframe mounts.

For dozens of years, enthusiasts have critiqued the imprecise and vague feeling of BMW manual transmissions. Plagued with long throws, fore and aft play in gear, and a generally loose feeling, your OEM BMW shifter leaves much to be desired. While most standard carrier-mount short throw shifter kits will aid in reducing throw length and eliminating side-to-side play in gear, some enthusiasts long for a hardcore, race-inspired shifter that completely removes play and excessive throw length. At Turner Motorsport we share the same desire and set out to offer the ULTIMATE upgrade with this Performance Chassis Mount Short Shifter.

WHY UPGRADE?

Factory BMW shifter assemblies are complex by nature. The main component of this assembly is the shift carrier, a cast aluminum piece positioned inside the transmission tunnel that incorporates bushings at both ends for mounting. Like most factory parts, these bushings are designed to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) transmission to the cabin. To the spirited driver, however, these bushings translate to flex and vagueness in the shift lever. Moreover, because this carrier is mounted to both the transmission and the body, the entire shifter assembly will "float" with the driveline, further increasing the vague and imprecise feeling of your shifter.

Our Performance Chassis Mount Short Shifter removes the shift carrier assembly entirely—removing any prospect of flex caused by bushings or driveline movement. By contrast, this chassis mount shifter offers a drastic reduction in shift lever travel, vagueness, and side-to-side play. An elevated base allows for moving the fulcrum point upwards, resulting in a much shorter and more precise throw. Shift times are further reduced by a tall, "rally style" shift lever, used to aid in leverage while also bringing the lever closer to the steering wheel. Our design incorporates a proprietary centering spring design, which is adjustable for increasing or decreasing self-centering force. In short, this design eliminates all the drawbacks of your factory BMW shifter, translating to more control, greater precision, shorter throws, and faster shift times.
