For BMW M54 applications, coil styles vary between M or N depending on the vehicle's production date. Models produced up to September 2002 require the M series style coil, while those manufactured after September 2002 use N series style coils. Clutch:

Upgrade for 135i/335i/535i models from the 335is! Featuring a heavy-duty clutch with more holding power and a stock-like pedal feel. Slipping clutches won't allow your BMW to accelerate properly and can pose problems under a load such as going up large inclines. Also, a worn clutch can cause less precise and engaging shifts. The fuel pump is held into the tank with a retaining lock ring. Most people would take an extension or punch and tap out the ring with a hammer. But that's the wrong way to do it. You could damage the lock ring, or worse, the tank itself. This handy tool is toothed to match the lock ring and takes a standard 1/2 drive ratchet or small extension. Twist the ratchet and the lock ring comes un-done cleanly and smoothly. A hefty tool that pays for itself over and over. Fits most BMWs from 1988-2013. Also has application for MINI and Porsche.

This metal screw ring tightens down to old the top of the fuel pump or fuel filter assembly dependent on model of vehicle.

Together they make this job simple and easy and ensure a tight fit with a new ring. 

Ensure proper sealing when installing the turbos on your N54.

Both downpipes must be removed to remove either front or rear turbo. Tie rod end may need to be separated from knuckle for clearance. Steering rack may also need to be rotated away from subframe for access. Valve cover heat shield will need to loosened and pushed upward to get clearance for turbo manifold removal.

If studs back out of cylinder head and nuts are seized to studs, replace studs. Thread studs in to head by hand to prevent cross threading. When installing the new studs in the cylinder head, use a high temperature loctite in the cylinder head side, and copper anti-seize on the nut side.

To make more room for access to the front turbo, remove the rubber line running in front of the subframe that attaches to the back of the map thermostat and remove the clip. Cut off the OEM clamp and replace it with a new hose clamp as well.

Complete removal of the water pump is not required. Detach the water pump from the side of the block and push it out of the way to make more room for access to the front turbo. If water pump is unbolted from the block, the aluminum bolts must be replaced.
