The early M5X engines have well-documented issues caused by harmonics. The extreme vibrations cause the weak oil pump shaft to shear off or the oil pump nut to come loose and fall off, all of which results in an instant loss of oil pressure. Achilles Motorsports decided to develop a solution to fix all of these known issues. Achilles takes their oil pump shafts to the extreme, using only the toughest materials and heat treatment processes to ensure optimum strength. The core of this kit is a hardened Chromoly shaft that is centerless ground to ensure absolute trueness. The shaft is engineered with an exclusive square key lock system that not only prevents the gear from ever spinning on the shaft but also adds strength to the area to which the gear mounts. Achilles Motorsports then replaced the pesky oil pump nut with an extended length bolt that is EDM drilled for safety wire to properly secure it for all conditions. This is a Genuine BMW Upper Idler Pulley, also known as the roller pulley or deflection pulley. The upper and lower idler pulleys are known to be the primary sources for 'belt squealing'. The pulley is also encased in rubber which will crack over time. If left without service the rubber could fail completely, chucking the belt and leaving you stranded. Replacement is a very simple procedure and can be done anytime the fan is off the engine (belt replacement, water pump service, alternator replacement, etc).

Our valve cover is designed to fit some of the best engines BMW ever came out with, single vanos M50/M52 and S50/S52. Not only are these great motors in general and deserve an upgraded valve cover but they are also prime for boosting. When adding boosting you will be introducing heat which can wreak havoc on your ignition system and make your factory valve cover extremely prone to failure.
The reality of the M5x/S5x motors is that the plastic valve covers are sub-par and the magnesium versions are no longer available from BMW and even those can even warp. The engine crankcase in you car is filled with oil to keep everything lubricated, and to keep the oil inside of the engine, seals are used anywhere there is a seam in the engine, or any place a shaft protrudes from the engine. One such seal is the front main crankshaft seal. This seal is located around the the crankshaft at the front of the engine, and keeps oil from leaking out around the crankshaft. The Turner engineered catch cans offer a pre-setup design based ion desired flow direction, however, this does not limit you to this flow. The inner baffle orientation can be easily adjusted to flow in both directions in case you decide to move this catch can to a different vehicle. A 4 chamber system baffle system inside the catch can was engineered to create multiple changes in the direction of airflow within the separator to cause oil droplets to fall out of suspension before exiting the catch can. Having a closed/recirculated design reduces oil ingestion and promotes cleaner emissions and odor-less operation.

Instructions:
1. Position the Ring: Place the piston ring on the outer edge against the stop and align the ends squarely against the grinding wheel. Apply light, even pressure against the wheel to prevent grinding too large a gap. 2. Operate the Tool: Turn the handle so the grinding wheel turns towards the inside edge of the ring (counter-clockwise when viewed from the handle side of the tool). 3. Exercise Caution: This is a diamond grinding wheel. It cuts fast!
Checking Piston Ring Gap:
1. Deburr the Ring Ends: Carefully remove any burrs on the ring ends before placing the ring in the bore. A light touch with a fine abrasive stone works well. 2. Clean the Rings: Thoroughly clean the rings with lacquer thinner or acetone, as the paint coating from the factory may occasionally scratch the cylinder bore. Always wear gloves during this process. 3. Position the Ring in the Cylinder: Place the ring squarely in the cylinder bore, about 1" down from the deck surface. An upside-down flat-top piston will help you properly square the ring. 4. Measure the End Gap: Use a feeler gauge to measure the ring's end gap. Apply light grinding pressure and check frequently to avoid making the end gap too large.

The Achilles Motorsports Oil Pan Baffle was designed and manufactured to be used on racing, high-performance track, and street driven cars. Each baffle is precision laser cut from .090" heat-treated aluminum then hand-assembled and test fit to ensure accuracy and ease of installation. Achilles Motorsports' baffle design incorporates dual trap doors and a unique oil deflector that prevents oil from splashing out of the sump under hard braking. Together, these help minimize the sloshing of the oil inside the oil pan and keep oil accumulated around your pickup tube. The factory BMW oil pan doesn't do a very good job of keeping oil accumulated around the oil pick-up tube in high g-force situations. By keeping oil accumulated around the pickup tube you can eliminate the costly loss of oil pressure and potential damage to other vital engine parts commonly caused by high g-forces from hard acceleration and braking and high-speed cornering. This replacement cylinder head for BMW S52 S50 M52 6 cylinder engine comes completely assembled with new valves, valve springs, valve guides, valve seals and studs. Being assembled this cylinder head makes for a much quicker and easier job of installation. The camshaft is not included but is available separately.

Our catch can was also designed with the idea that the cans fill level can easily be checked with a top mounted dipstick and an optional use bottom drain hole.
