Higher mileage engines and especially ones with direct-injection are prone to carbon build-up on the backs of the inlet valves. However, when deposits are removed by the catch can's filter and separation process, the intake air receives less oil and more oxygen, resulting in a cleaner, more reliable, and better performing engine.

MMR's Performance catch can kit For N55 powered M235i's and M2's was designed to help owners ensure their engines are running at optimum performance This is done by removing unwanted oil from the PCV system before it can get back into the intake.

The T-6061 billet filter housing, anodized in the trademark MMR finish, comes with a billet bracket for easy installation, including all hoses and fittings necessary for installation. The catch can kit has been designed to offer added performance, allow easy installation and enhanced aesthetics too.

Checking the level for any oil removed from the intake system is easy thanks to the integral dipstick. A cap-head bolt mounted in the lower section of the catch can allows for easy draining, or if you prefer, the lower section itself can be easily unscrewed and removed.
