The Black Forest Industries Billet Knob weighs in at 8.8oz (250g), about twice as much as a stock knob and a little heaver than the BMW ZHP knob. The heavier knob amplifies the pendulum motion of the shift lever resulting in smoother and faster shift times. BFI has designed this knob for BMW and VW fitments to fit snug on the shift lever and be secured with Allen set screws. They were careful to reduce tolerances compared to universal knobs. The overall height of the BFI knob is the same as stock anatomic knobs (some BMW M/Performance models have a stock knob that is shorter than this one).

The heavy duty pressure plate included offers a 20-50% clamp load increase, stock-moderate pedal feel, and heat treated diaphragms for increased strength and performance.
Next in this kit is the G6 racing clutch disc. This disc is a sprung, 6-pad disc that is suited for high horsepower road and track style racing and is also better at handling higher heat versus the 4-pad version of this disc, the G4. The G6 pads are composed of ceramic friction materials and the disc has a chome-moly hub that is heat treated for additional strength under high load engagements. Also featured are heavy duty torsional springs that are rated for the clutch kit's expected uses. Over stock, this clutch kit has a much higher torque capacity and is better for quick shifting thanks to lower weight and inertia.
