BMW driveshafts are not serviceable. This means that when the U-joints wear out, it is time to replace the entire shaft. If you have increased power levels due to turbo or supercharging, an upgraded driveshaft may be essential to safely transferring that power to the wheels.

The drive shaft in your vehicle transmits the power to the wheels. Oftentimes, they can experience damage due to their vulnerable mounting location under the car. Spinning at such fast speeds, even the littlest bit of unbalance can be exploited. This causes serious vibrations and can eventually lead to other driveline component failure.
